Cheap Canon Cameras

Since Canon is the leading digital and film camera manufacturer and its models are highly expensive therefore, but I am going to share a few Cheap Canon Cameras with you that are handy, classy and inexpensive at the same time.

Canon PowerShot SX710 HS

The Canon PowerShot SX710 HS is a compact camera and is popular for its 30x optical zoom at a very reasonable price. It is an ideal choice for beginners and for people having little experience of photography.

The main upgrade from its last model is in resolution, switching the 16 Megapixel sensor of the SX700 HS for a 20 Megapixel sensor on the SX710 HS. The Canon PowerShot SX710 HS can also record Full HD movies with stereo sound and control over the optical zoom while you’re filming.

Since it is a compact size, you can squeeze it into most trouser pockets as it measures 113x66x34.8mm and weighs 269g including battery. The camera does not have a touchscreen though but it is okay at such a low price.

Watch the following video for detailed review on SX710 before you go to Amazon and buy this handy camera.

Canon EOS Rebel T6 / EOS 1300D

The Cannon EOS Rebel T6, also known as EOS 1300D is perhaps the cheapest DSLR available today. It is an easy to use compact size camera that has a 3-inch screen fixed screen, 920k-dot pane which means images viewed in playback are more crisp and sharp, while menus and icons also look better.

The 1300D’s camera is pretty good and images will impress. However, if you compare it with 1200D and hoping for an improvement, you wouldn’t probably find much difference. The JPEG images display great colours but under artificial lighting, the images are a little on the warm side.

You need to set the exposure dial to video in order to record on 1300D. The camera does not have a dedicated movie button which is quite irritating.

The Cannon Rebel T6 can shoot full HD video but the video is fully automated and does not offer any manual control for video settings. This is not pleasing to videographers but again you can’t expect that for a budget camera such as this.

This is an excellent option for DSLR newbies but for those who have got 1200D, the upgrade to 1300D isn’t really worth it. Nevertheless, the low price still makes it an attractive choice for camera lovers.

Canon PowerShot S110

The Canon PowerShot S110 has an excellent image quality and a solid design. It is supposed to be a wonderful option for vloggers. It is not a big camera and you can carry it easily in your pocket.

The S110 is the next in series and retains all advanced features of the previous S100. The new additions that it has are touchscreen functionality and the Wi-Fi connectivity.

It also offers a newly designed high-sensitivity 12.1 megapixel with 5x zoom lens, has 1080p Full HD video which allows beautiful photos, fast auto-focusing of 0.2 seconds and a 3.0 inch touchscreen LCD display with a resolution of 460K dots.

So, if you want something that is ready to go and cheap, then check out this camera at Amazon.

  1. Nice overview of some affordable cameras! As a blogger, I have been looking for a camera that will take better pictures than my phone, but I didn’t really know where to start. That Canon EOS Rebel sounds really interesting since it does video as well!

Do you think all of these cameras definitely surpass the quality of most smartphone cameras?

    1. Thanks, Kiersten. To be honest, there is no smartphone replacement for DSLR cameras as yet for following reasons:

      1. First of all, you can’t compare the “Megapixel – Image Sensor” size of a DSLR with a smartphone.
      2. Secondly, the image sensor of the DSLR is much bigger than that of any smartphone in the market (bigger the sensor, better the image quality).
      3. Last but not the least, the lens is used to determine the quality of the photo than the camera itself and Canon has the biggest lens system in the world whereas you don’t have any option to change the lens in a smartphone.

So yes, these cameras definitely surpass the quality of all smartphone cameras!
